My Stop-Motion Puppet

A picture overview of the process of making my puppet:

The plasticine sculpture (sculpted over a skeleton made of brass tubing)

The sculpted hands

Preparing the head for a plaster mold

The head ready for pouring plaster

One of the hands after a successful plaster pour (half of a mold)

The ball and socket armature that I hand crafted (using a blow torch, a jewelers saw and a lathe)

From the side

Forming the puppet's body using foam (clip-foaming)

and after pouring silicone into the molds...

(original)

(remade with wire armature and new silicone cast)
